Note the following issues described below are related to running IBM Lotus Notes Traveler on Android 4.2.x devices. This list is subject to change as additional information becomes available and as OS updates are released.
Resolving the problem
Issue #1 - Traveler data removed from the device, receive message of "As a result of an update to Lotus Traveler, your local data has been removed and will be replaced during the next sync.",and prompted for password.
Solution: This issue applies to Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.3.x (not 8.5.3 UP1), and has been addressed via APAR L072768. To resolve the issue, open a service request with IBM Support and request the fix for APAR L072768.
Issue #2 - When a user attempts to compose a new e-mail, the 'Send' and 'Save' buttons are greyed out.
Solution: This issue only applies to tablets running Android 4.2.x, and only to Notes Traveler 8.5.3 UP1 (not 8.5.3.x), and has been addressed via APAR L072813. To resolve the issue, open a service request with IBM Support and request the fix for APAR L072813. As a temporary work around, rotating the tablet will enable the 'Send' and 'Save' buttons.
Issue #3 - When a user attempts to 'reply', or 'reply all', to a new e-mail, the 'Send' and 'Save' buttons are greyed out.
Solution: This issue only applies to tablets running Android 4.2.x, and only to Notes Traveler 8.5.3 UP1 (not 8.5.3.x), and has been addressed via APAR LO72924. To resolve the issue, open a service request with IBM Support and request the fix for APAR LO72924. As a temporary work around, rotating the tablet, or making a change to the 'To' field, will enable the 'Send' and 'Save' buttons.
